American mass media company 88rising celebrated Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month by organizing a special Asia Rising benefit concert.

Similar to the last year’s benefit livestream, the group continues to spotlight Asian voices and celebrate the community with the aim of raising funds and awareness. The lineup included Atarashii Gakko!, Audrey Mika, Audrey Nuna, Bizzy, Guapdad 4000, eaJ (of Day6), KOAD, Luna Li, mxmtoon, NIKI, Seori, Tiger JK and yoonmirae, with guest appearances from RZA, Dumbfoundead and Ocean Vuong, and a special introduction by CL.

The media company worked hard together with Sean Kusanagi, Creative Director of Odesza’s Foreign Family Collective, to direct this piece and make it a real thing. Donations from the benefit concert went towards the Asian Mental Health Collective, while other Asian American organizations such as The Vietnamese American Community Center of the East Bay and MAMA Los Angeles were mentioned and had their spotlight at the concert.
